These Hosting Terms of Service apply to website hosting, website care, managed hosting, domain-related assistance, and related hosting services provided by TechiLogic IT, unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Hosting Terms of Service
These terms are intended to explain the general rules and expectations for hosting-related services provided by TechiLogic IT, LLC. If you have a separate written agreement, statement of work, managed services agreement, or hosting agreement with TechiLogic IT, that agreement will control where it conflicts with these general terms.
Services Covered
Hosting-related services may include website hosting, WordPress hosting, website maintenance, content updates, domain assistance, DNS support, SSL certificate support, backup coordination, uptime monitoring, plugin or theme maintenance, and related web support services.
These terms do not automatically apply to third-party hosting services purchased through a separate platform, such as TechiHosting or another self-managed hosting provider, unless TechiLogic IT specifically states that these terms apply.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate account information, approving requested changes, maintaining ownership of their content and intellectual property, and ensuring that website content complies with applicable laws and contractual obligations.
Clients are also responsible for promptly notifying TechiLogic IT of website problems, unauthorized changes, suspected compromise, domain notices, renewal notices, or other issues that may affect hosting or website availability.
Acceptable Use
Hosting services may not be used for illegal, abusive, deceptive, harmful, or disruptive activity. Prohibited use includes, but is not limited to, malware distribution, phishing, spam, unauthorized access attempts, copyright infringement, harassment, fraud, or activity that negatively affects other systems, users, or hosting environments.
TechiLogic IT may suspend or restrict hosting services if we reasonably believe the service is being used in a way that creates security, legal, operational, or reputational risk.
Domains, DNS, and SSL Certificates
Domain names, DNS records, and SSL certificates may depend on third-party registrars, DNS providers, certificate authorities, hosting platforms, and client-controlled accounts. TechiLogic IT will use reasonable efforts to assist with these services when included in the applicable service arrangement, but we cannot guarantee the behavior or availability of third-party systems outside our control.
Clients are responsible for maintaining accurate ownership and billing information for any domains or third-party services they own directly.
Backups and Recovery
Hosting services may include backup or recovery features depending on the service plan, platform, or agreement in place. Backup availability, retention, and recovery options may vary by hosting environment.
Although backups are an important safeguard, no backup system can be guaranteed to prevent all data loss. Clients should notify TechiLogic IT promptly if they discover missing content, accidental deletion, suspected compromise, or other website issues that may require recovery.
Website Updates and Compatibility
Websites may rely on themes, plugins, third-party integrations, scripts, APIs, or vendor services that change over time. TechiLogic IT will use reasonable care when performing updates or maintenance, but compatibility issues can occur when software, vendors, browsers, hosting platforms, or security requirements change.
Additional work may be required to troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, replace, or modernize outdated website components.
Billing, Renewals, and Suspension
Hosting and related services may be billed monthly, annually, per project, or according to another approved billing arrangement. Payment terms, renewal dates, and included services may vary by client, agreement, or service package.
TechiLogic IT may suspend or restrict services for non-payment, expired service arrangements, security concerns, abuse, or other material issues. Whenever practical, TechiLogic IT will attempt to provide notice before suspension, but urgent security or abuse issues may require immediate action.
Content and Ownership
Clients retain ownership of their website content, branding, images, documents, and other materials they provide, subject to any rights held by third parties. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the rights necessary to publish or use their content.
TechiLogic IT may create, configure, modify, or maintain website components as part of providing services. Ownership and licensing of custom work, third-party software, stock assets, plugins, themes, or integrations may be governed by separate agreements or vendor licenses.
Third-Party Services
Hosting and website services may rely on third-party providers, including hosting platforms, domain registrars, DNS providers, analytics tools, form providers, security tools, payment processors, email systems, content delivery networks, and software vendors. Those providers may have their own terms, policies, fees, limitations, and service availability.
Service Availability
TechiLogic IT works to provide reliable hosting and website services, but no website, network, server, hosting platform, or internet-based service can be guaranteed to be available at all times. Service interruptions may occur due to maintenance, software issues, third-party outages, network problems, security events, domain or DNS issues, or circumstances outside our control.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law and any applicable agreement, TechiLogic IT is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business opportunities, reputational harm, or business interruption arising from hosting or website services.
Changes to These Terms
TechiLogic IT may update these Hosting Terms of Service from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
